10/3/08: The Tatitlek Corporation Jumps to 33rd in Top 49 Alaska Businesses

Top 49 Alaska Businesses, 2008The Tatitlek Corporation again made the list of Top 49 Alaska-owned-and-operated companies this year, jumping 15 places to 33rd.

“It’s always an honor to be on this list,” says corporation President and CEO Roy Totemoff, “but being a strong Alaska Native Village Corporation really means more benefits to shareholders, which is our main focus.”

Revenue jumped from about $46 million in 2006 to almost $82 million in 2007. Noteworthy events from the past year include acquisition of Super Signs, Ltd., a long-time Anchorage-based sign company, and a five-year, $319 million contract renewal for training support with the U.S. Marines.

8/6/08: We Moved! New Corporate Headquarters for The Tatitlek Corporation and Subsidiaries

Previously spread across Anchorage in three locations, The Tatitlek Corporation and three of its seven subsidiaries—Tatitlek Contractors, Inc., Tatitlek Support Services, Inc., and Tatitlek Management, Inc.—now share one building at 561 East 36th Avenue. Having its entire Anchorage staff in one place allows for best use of the company’s shared services such as accounting, human resources, and administration. It also creates a stronger sense of community among employees, many of whom are Alaska Native shareholders of The Tatitlek Corporation or shareholder descendants.

This fast-growing corporation recently received a five-year renewal of a contract with the U.S. Marines for foreign-language-speaking role players, mostly from Iraq and Afghanistan. The new corporate headquarters will accommodate the company’s steady expansion into government and commercial lines. Super Signs, Ltd., Tatitlek’s newest subsidiary, remains at 6th and Ingra.

The Tatitlek Corporation announces the acquisition of its newest subsidiary, long-time Anchorage sign company Super Signs, Ltd. Reinhardt Riggelsen, owner of Super Signs for 18 years, remains the company’s president and looks forward to continuing established relationships with this expanding company’s clients and meeting new patrons’ needs. Roy Totemoff, president and CEO of The Tatitlek Corporation, welcomes the new partnership and looks forward to continuing excellent service for Alaska.
